University of Wisconsin - Stout

As students turned in assignments and took final exams remodeling on Communications Technologies rooms 224S, 224M and 224N began. These rooms are often used for the delivery of Technology Education courses and TECA (Technology Education Collegiate Association) meetings. Most Technology Education students are familiar with these classrooms. Follow along with the pictures and see the progress!

May 19, 2008 — Remodeling begins. Two walls between 224S, 224M, and 224N are removed and replaced with new walls using studs running from floor to ceiling. Carpet is scraped off the floor in 224M. Ceiling tile is removed to expose wiring and ventilation that will be replaced. Note the plans on the podium. Estimated completion date is July 18, 2008.

A hall was added to the east side of Communication Technologies 224S and 224M. In mid-May the wall was metal studs. Sheetrock was added and taped in late May and early June. Note the closets on the east side of the hallway that will be used to store materials for student organizations such as TECA (Technology Education Collegiate Association). The hallway is painted by July 6. The finishing touches - lights, ceiling panels and carpet will add the finishing touches.

224M gets a facelift. By mid June the new walls were completed in 224M, sheetrock was hung and the taping of wall joints started. Two columns and an overhang on the west end of the room have been removed. By July 6, 2008 the walls are painted and new wiring for lighting is in place. Ceiling tile and carpet are all that is left!
