University of Wisconsin - Stout

The UW-Stout science education program offers science teaching certifications in broadfield science, biology, chemistry, and physics. These certifications have been approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Broadfield science certification allows teachers to teach any science course up to grade 10 and any basic or general science course in grades 11 and 12. Biology, chemistry, and physics certifications are needed to teach those subject areas in grades 11 and 12.

Each certification can be taken as a teaching major certification or teaching minor certification.
