The McNair Scholars Program

Do you dream of continuing your studies after earning a bachelor's degree?

Perhaps you already know that pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. is in your future, you just don’t know how to make it happen…

The McNair Scholars Program can make dreams come true and your postbaccalaureate goals a reality by providing outstanding, specific resources and support to assist students towards reaching the goal of a graduate degree.

Major components of the program include:

  • Undergraduate research opportunities with stipends
  • Faculty advisement and faculty mentorship
  • Funds to go to conferences, graduate school visits, and fee waviers for graduate school application fees

The program has specific eligibility requirements.

The McNair Program is a 100 percent federally funded U.S. Department of Education TRIO program with $220,000 awarded per year with a five-year performance period.
