Teaching Interests
I am interested in Multimedia and the Web as a method for delivering information. My technical writing class each semester creates websites that deliver detailed information about topics of interest for those using the web. I am working to develop the multimedia class as a kind of writing course, not just a technology course.

I am also interested in teaching. As UTIC representativie I have created structures that will give voice to the concerns that faculty members have about teaching. As chair of the Teaching Committee of ATTW I have initiated the discussion of the Scholarship of Teaching for the organization. In my classes I experiment endlessly with ways to structure the environment so that students successfully assume the burden of educating themselves.
