Roles/Responsibilities

Contact individuals applying for Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) employment services and interview them. Conversations usually pertain to the individual's work related goals, how their disability affects them and their work experience. Secondarily, I obtain medical documentation of the individual's disability from medical providers, schools or other record-holders as required under Wisconsin and Federal Law for Vocational Rehabilitation state services. Finally, after the interview and when records have been obtained, I write a report recommending whether the individual is eligible for services and give a general overview about what I learned about them. It's been a great job learning about people, about disabilities and how people overcome the struggles in their daily lives.
