Research Interests

  •  Biodegradable and compostable polymers. Polylactide (PLA), poly(hydroxy alkanoate) and poly(alkylene dicarboxylate). Properties and applications in packaging industry.
  • Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs). Surface characterization, synthesis of high surface area materials, adsorption studies and fabrication of polymer and porous materials based MMMs. Permselectivity and development of MMMs for packaging applications.
  • Thermal, mechanical and barrier properties of the micro and nanocomposites. Effect of filler on the rheological properties of the polymeric materials and processing.
