It is an understatement to say I have a passion for teaching.  I am absolutely my happiest self when I am in the classroom.  My goal in every class is to use problem-based learning that places an emphasis on information application.

Courses Taught

  • General Psychology
  • Interpreting Psychology Research
  • Perception
  • Cognitive Neuroscience
  • Applied Psychophysiological Methods

My research focuses on visual processing with an emphasis on face & object perception. My primary interests include the development of perceptual expertise and how we can measure these effects on a neurological level. This research has mainly focused on illustrating how fingerprint examiners are different from novices and how their visual systems have adapted to the incredible visual demands placed on them to effectively compare fingerprints.
