Areas of Expertise

As a Development Engineer for the Manufacturing Outreach Center (MOC), Roger helps build strong American manufacturing companies by assisting them with:

  • Technology application
  • Developing new products & new markets
  • Problem solving

Roger began his professional career working with a lot of great people to develop and commercialize a Metal Injection Molding process, taking it from lab bench failures (learning) to a profitable business.   He transitioned to the role of evaluating new technologies and integrating them into a medical implant and device manufacturer.   An opportunity with a consulting firm then allowed Roger to assist companies, ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 100, with product ideation, problem solving and product development efforts.

At UW-Stout since 2010, Roger now enjoys helping companies to recognize new product or process improvement opportunities and to identify the right technologies to make these possible.  He believes firmly that you should learn every day, and that "people working together accomplish more!"
