- Baseball team sets organizational meeting, will host golf outing
- Menomonie (July 23, 2008) - The UW-Stout baseball team will hold an organizational meeting Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. in Room 217 of the Sports and Fitness Center. Medical forms, which are available on the Athletic Training Center website, are to be completed and turned in at the meeting. The team will also host a 3-person scramble, Friday, Aug. 29 at Whitetail Golf Course.
- Tryout times for 2008-09 men's golf team announced
- Menomonie (July 21, 2008) - Tryouts for the 2008-09 UW-Stout men's golf team will be held Thursday, Aug. 28 and Friday, Aug. 29 at the Chippewa Valley Golf Course.
- Zach Nordby named UW-Stout women's tennnis coach
- Menomonie (June 20, 2008) - Zach Nordby has been named the UW-Stout women's tennis coach, athletic director Joe Harlan announced recently. Nordby was recently an assistant coach at Luther College.
- Football team posts team grade point average of 3.0
- Menomonie (June 19, 2008) - With 11 student/athletes reporting a grade point average of 3.50 or better - and three 4.0 GPAs - the UW-Stout football team posted a team GPA of 3.0 for the Spring, 2008, semester.
- Stout's Birmingham to assist with football instructional tour in Europe
- Menomonie (June 17, 2008) - UW-Stout defensive coordinator Clayt Birmingham will spend 16 days in Europe this summer as part of a six-coach team that will work with youth and junior-level football coaches in Europe.
- Former Blue Devil works with high school pole vaulters
- Stratford (May 26, 2008) - Former UW-Stout nationally qualifying pole vaulter, John Zastrow, has worked with several high school pole vaulters over the years - including current Blue Devil Daniel Drewek - in central Wisconsin. Jake Miller of the Marshfield News-Herald tells Zastrow's story.
- Pam Sellberg finishes second in pole vault at NCAA championships
- Oshkosh (May 24, 2008) - UW-Stout's Pam Sellberg broke her own school record and finished second in the pole vault at the 2008 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at UW-Oshkosh, Thursday. Sam Mayer placed 15th in the discus and competed in the high jump Friday. Ashlea Peter finished 17th in the triple jump Saturday. Stout, as a team, placed 33rd overall.
- Ryan Ament, Sean Larson, Daniel Drewek compete at nationals
- Oshkosh (May 23, 2008) - Sean Larson, Ryan Ament and Daniel Drewek competed during the first day of the 2008 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at UW-Oshkosh, Thursday, but the day didn't go as anticipated for any of the three. On Friday, Larson placed 16th in the hammer throw.
- Three share softball most valuable player award
- Menomonie (May 13, 2008) - Nelly Peterson, Beth Lloyd and Katie Fichter shared the most valuable player award for the UW-Stout softball team this season.
