There are several reasons for this. First, to be compliant with the Higher Education Opportunity Act, we should have the resources for each course posted before registration for the next term begins. Second, the Disability Services Office needs time to ensure that they can provide access to learning materials for their students with disabilities. Lastly, the publishers require a 6 week turn around for digital requests. Having the due dates where they are ensures that we can provide access to you, the instructor, in a timely fashion.
This varies according to the resource. If you are working with a publisher rep, they can provide you with the information. Amazon lists the ISBN just above the comments section on their page. The ISBN is also listed on the title page of each hard copy book.
We are currently using a variety of digital resources on campus. We have many instructors using the e-textbook reader Courseload. Several are using McGraw-Hill Connect, and several have Pearson MyLab products. There are a few video/reference materials in use as well. As we are just beginning, we challenge you to challenge us with the resources that YOU need to best teach your course.
