University of Wisconsin Stout | Wisconsin's Polytechnic University
With the support of their faculty advisors, graduate and undergraduate students present research findings in this campus-wide event at the Memorial Student Center. While most research dissemination occurs through posters, there is also an opportunity for oral, multi-media and other presentation forms. The main purpose of this event is to disseminate research and celebrate the hard work of student researchers. Specific awards are presented for top researchers across a variety of disciplines.
Students are encouraged to sign up for Research Day by March 15, 2018.
UW-Stout will present two outstanding research awards for 2017-18--one for a Senior Outstanding Researcher and one for an Emerging Outstanding Researcher.
The Senior Outstanding Researcher award is to recognize a highly noteworthy individual for leadership and significant contributions to research and scholarly activities at UW-Stout and who has been at Stout for 7 or more years.
The Emerging Outstanding Researcher award is for someone with the same criteria who has been here 6 years or less. It is the intent of this award to showcase the excellent contributions being made by the newer faculty and staff at UW-Stout.
Nominations should provide a 1-3 page description of the research and/or scholarly activities of the nominee, addressing the following points:
Prior recipients of the awards will review the nominations and make recommendations to the Provost. The awards will be presented at Research Day, May 3, 2018. An individual may self-nominate or be nominated. Submit nominations by March 21 to Matthew Gundrum at the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
