New Workshop Events

  • Grant Writing Primer: Understand how to write grant successful grant proposals. Research Services is looking to host a Grant Writing Workshop October 27, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. inside the Badger Room, MSC.
  • Improving Student Learning Outcomes: Research Services provides in-class talks that could improve student learning outcomes by increasing access to valuable information about conducting research. Bridge gaps in understanding about available student grants, the proposal process, research events, and much more. Contact Research Services to schedule time for us to talk with your class.
  • We Want Your Workshop Ideas: Is there a research-related workshop we can host that will help make your research dreams a reality? Contact Research Services at extension 1126 with your ideas.

Funding Information

  • Related to State Budget Issues: as of 1/29/15, UW-Stout requires completion of the Travel Approval form for any travel funded by internal funds (i.e. Professional Development, Just-in-Time, Faculty Research Initiative (FRI), Faculty Start-up). Place the name of the program funding the travel in the "Purpose of Trip" box on the form. Questions can be directed to Research Services at extension 1126.

  • Proposal Assistance and Budget Development: we assist in all areas of proposal and budget development, including editing and preparation of required forms.

  • Submission of Proposals:  External grant proposals, including those from UW System, are due 10 days prior to the agency deadline. UW-Stout internal grant programs are due on the established deadline.
