I started out as a Mechanical Engineer in July and was hired with the duty of getting my hands dirty and building their prototypes, which I absolutely loved. I soon moved into more of a Research and Development Engineer role where I'm doing more project management and design. I want to commend the Engineering Technology professors, for giving me a great learning experience and fostering the outlook and creativity that I presently have and will carry on throughout my lifetime.

UW-Stout's combination of challenging classroom courses and hands-on labs made the transition from student to full-time employee very easy. The small class sizes allow you to get to know your teacher and this creates a great environment for learning. The staff is excellent in that they go way beyond their duties as a teacher to make sure the students learn the necessities of the working world. Besides the fact that UW-Stout prepared me so well for future employment, Stout also prepared me for life outside of work. I will never forget all the fun I had at Stout and all of the life-long friends I made there. I had a great experience at UW-Stout and recommend it to everyone."

The University of Wisconsin-Stout not only provided the right curriculum for success, it also provided instructors that had actual field experience. This allowed them to prepare me not only in the way of the text book, but the reality of industry."
