The 10th annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference and Tech Showcase will kick off on Tuesday, September 19 at 1:00 PM with industry programming tracks in Smart Manufacturing, Innovation, and Workforce Strategy. On September 20, the day will begin with our featured keynote speaker. Following the keynote, additional industry programming tracks will continue, and the Tech Showcase exhibits will be open. Manufacturing Advantage is designed for Wisconsin Manufacturers to showcase industry technology, success stories, new developments, and provide premier networking opportunities. The UW-Stout Manufacturing Outreach Center (MOC) in collaboration with WMEP has worked to infuse a tech showcase into the annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference. The centers, both affiliated with the national NIST / MEP system, are committed to uncovering pathways to greater profitability and growth for small to mid-sized manufacturers in Wisconsin.
In an effort to support the proactive initiatives of our manufacturers, the 2017 Manufacturing Advantage Conference & Tech Showcase is being designed to showcase even more emerging technologies from a variety of companies and agencies. We are seeking the input of manufacturers across the state to determine their needs as relative to technology and the greatest areas of interest for innovation and research. It is our goal that these efforts can provide exposure and interaction with these leading technology solutions in the most meaningful way.
UW-Eau Claire Materials Science and Engineering Center
UW-Eau Claire Science and Engineering Center provides a perfect nexus for the expertise of university faculty, the eagerness of student researchers, and the needs of area industry - where research and development puts knowledge to practical use solving real-world materials issues. Conference tour participants will tour the Center's laboratory facilities on the UW-Eau Claire campus, and meet with the Center Director and area faculty.
