UW-Stout awards scholarships to three transfer students

Joe YangThree University of Wisconsin-Stout transfer students have been selected to receive the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship for the 2014-15 school year.

The university offers the scholarship for students who transfer directly from two-year colleges and are members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. In addition, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25, have been accepted to UW-Stout and have submitted an essay by June 16.

Kristen GobertJoe Yang, of St. Paul, is transferring from Dunwoody College in Minneapolis and will receive $2,500. He will major in manufacturing engineering.

Kristen Gobert, of Rhinelander, is transferring from Nicolet Area Technical College in Rhinelander and will receive $1,500. She will major in management.

Nikole AndersonNikole Anderson, of La Crosse, is transferring from Western Technical College in La Crosse and will receive $1,500. She is majoring in management.
