Schumacher named Classified Employee of the Month

December 7, 2011

Deb Allen Schumacher, rehabilitation and counseling, has been named Classified Employee of the Month for September at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Schumacher lives in Elk Mound.

The individual nominating her stated: “Deb has a wonderful attitude. She stops whatever task she is involved in to help those around her. When students enter the office to meet with their program director, I am always impressed how warm and friendly she is with them even when she is in the middle of a completely unrelated task.”

And, “Deb has assisted in the development of two federal long-term training grants that were funded. She has created systems and processes that promote better experiential opportunities for students. Perhaps more than anything else, Deb has generously shared her knowledge and expertise so work across the department could be accomplished and so that all students served by the department receive outstanding educational preparation.”

Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen presents each Classified Employee of the Month with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout coffee mug and a check for $50.

Nominations can be made by supervisors, fellow employees or students.

The award was established by the chancellor to recognize classified employees at UW-Stout.
