The Reeher Group is a consultancy company dedicated to helping top universities achieve more by applying practical doctrines in business and marketing and providing advanced performance management tools such as the Reeher Dashboard . To deliver its products to the market place, the company relies on technological systems; vendor hardware and homegrown software solutions such as the aforementioned dashboard, electronic survey tool (Survey Returns) and an array of internal reporting applications. In my department, our goal is to ensure that all these systems work in concert to ensure uninterrupted service to the company's clients. Before joining The Reeher Group in early 2005, I worked at the University of Wisconsin Stout's eStout team during the early phases of the second version of eStout. I also worked as an intern at Unisys Corporation in Eagan Minnesota for a total of one year during my junior and senior year in college.

At The Reeher Group, I develop and maintain Java applications. Our main product; the Reeher Dashboard is driven by a variety of technologies. My day at work usually involves developing subsystems that process and store persistent data in DBMS's and flat files (usually XML) on the file system. I do a fair amount of system maintenance and security checks to ensure that our systems are not prone to attacks and that client requests are being serviced accordingly.

If there was a particular mathematical concept to apply in my daily routines, then my job wouldn't be as exciting as it is. Having said that, it is also taxing to list all the concepts that I have applied over time in my daily routines, although concepts earned from my calculus and advanced analytics classes have proven helpful in accomplishing my tasks. The most interesting subsystem that I developed using some of these concepts is an XML logger that processes user requests which are later stored in a DBMS for reporting purposes.

Before embarking on my career path, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie Wisconsin in December of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Applied Mathematics and Computer Science
