The award is presented to institutions with a student-athlete grade-point average that is equal to or greater than the GPA of the school's overall student body.
"As a department, we are very proud of the commitment to academics that our student-athletes have shown over the last three years," said Duey Naatz, athletic director. "With a cumulative GPA of over a 3.1 this past academic year, their hard work and dedication to academics is a very positive thing. They are committed to success and representing the university, Blue Devil Athletics and the community at a high level."
In conjunction with the All-Academic Award, the WIAC announced its Scholastic Honor Roll recipients for all nine member institutions. UW-Stout had 109 women and 99 student-athletes on the honor roll.
Overall in the WIAC, nearly 50 percent of the 5,000 student-athletes had a 3.0 GPA or better to make the list.
Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll received a certificate while institutions claiming All-Academic Awards received a plaque.
