A game launch will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the ballrooms of the Memorial Student Center. The campus community and public are welcome to play.
The launch will include 12 casual games created by freshmen, four advanced games created by juniors for clients and two 3D games created by seniors. Also available will be another five games created by students as independent projects.
The games made by seniors, Flash Frozen and Helium Havoc, were created by teams of 12 students beginning in September. For promotional trailers and more information on the games, go to the Flash Frozen and Helium Havoc websites.
In March, UW-Stout’s game design and development program was named one of the top 30 in the U.S. and Canada by Princeton Review. It was the only program in Wisconsin or Minnesota that made the list.
Students in UW-Stout’s program can concentrate on art or computer science aspects of video games. For more information go to the program website.
