scholarship 2016-17

The Stout Scholars Scholarship is awarded to three outstanding students who rank in the top 10 percent of their graduating class (3.75 GPA if your high school does not rank) and have a 26 composite ACT score.  Eligible students are invited to campus on March 10, 2017 for an interview and must attend to be considered.  Students are awarded $5,000 for their first year of college and are eligible to renew for the remaining three years if they maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and complete 30 credits each academic year (does not include advanced placement or transfer credits). Students must be admitted to the university by the first Monday in February and complete the Foundation Scholarship Application.

Qualified students are interviewed on campus as part of the evaluation process; included in the day long visit students attend a university class, visit a residence hall and have lunch with other students.

Financial support for the Stout Scholar scholarships is provided by donors through the Stout University Foundation. A gift of $20,000 payable over four years provides for one Stout Scholar scholarship.
