20 years of Apparel Industry Experience in New York City Specialization: Knitwear and Sweaters; Coordinated Sportswear; Print Development; Trend Research; Merchandising and Brand Development

Teaching Interests: History of Fashion Knitwear Design & Technology Fiber arts Tailoring

Research Interests: History of Fashion: 20th Century focus Knitwear Design History Feminist Theory related to Fashion Psychological and Social aspects of clothing and fashion

Professional Interests: Design and Professional Skills:  -Apparel construction, draping, pattern making, tailoring - Technical flat sketching, fashion illustration, computer design.  -Sweater design from concept sketching through production of knit goods and garments.  -Technical specification packages, fit specialist, sourcing and factory liaison.  -Trend research and forecasting, apparel line development, merchandising for all categories of apparel.  -Professional marketing and sales, trade show public relations, sales analysis and trouble-shooting.  -Crafts and embellishments, screen printing, knitting and crochet, machine knitting.  -Historical fashion research, writing, and exhibition curator, exhibit design and planning.  -Historical fashion and textile conservation, storage design and analysis, condition report analysis.
