Brief Biography

Cayte serves as the Executive Director of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI) and is responsible for organizational management, staff development, budget oversight, and development of strategic alliances. Educated as a rehabilitation counselor, Dr. Anderson worked in the field providing individualized job development, placement, and work incentives benefits counseling services to consumers of both Vocational Rehabilitation and Medicaid-funded long-term support programs. More recently, her work has focused on disability and employment research, policy, and administration. Dr. Anderson serves on the governor-appointed Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council, is current President of the National Association of Disability Benefits Specialists (NADBS) and Immediate Past-President of the National Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Association (RCEA). She actively collaborates with key stakeholders across systems including administrators, researchers, service providers, individuals with disabilities and families in the areas of disability, employment, knowledge translation, vocational rehabilitation, poverty, and asset development.
