Admissions Staff Bio:

What would you rather read: fiction or non-fiction? Why?
Non-fiction. I am fascinated by the human experience and what we can learn from one another. I often find myself gravitating towards memoirs, self-help books, and other non-fiction related reads.

What surprised you the most about college?
I was surprised by all of the new things I was given the opportunity to try and accomplish: changing my major from nursing to communications, leading sea kayaking trips in the Apostle Islands, training vocally with an opera professor, writing for the student newspaper, traveling to London for an entire semester and beyond. I was also surprised to learn that we are never done learning. It is a valuable lesson I have carried since graduation; there is no end to our learning and growth.

What are you listening to right now?
I have been listening to The Tim Ferriss Show, a podcast that relates directly to my interest in the human experience and our potential for growth.

What is your favorite thing to do in Menomonie?
I enjoy running outdoors in Menomonie, experiencing the wonders of nature and observing the things that make this little town so unique.
