Brief Biography

Tera has a deep passion for Literacy Coaching and working with adults. She has coordinated the Title I federal grant, the Reading First Grant, presented throughout her district, other districts in WI, and at various conferences around the state. She currently teaches Reading Practicum and Supporting Literacy Instruction for the Online Reading Program at UW-Stout. 

Education

Tera Ellison obtained her undergraduate degree from UW- Eau Claire, as an Elementary Education teacher and from UW-Stout as an Early Childhood Teacher. She began her teaching career on the Eastern side of WI and soon thereafter, began her masters in Reading Administration degree from UW-Oshkosh. She obtained her license as a certified Reading Recovery Teacher. Most recently, Tera obtained her K-12 Principal and Director of Instruction licensures.

Areas of Expertise

Tera Ellison has worked in the field of education for twenty-three years. She is currently the K-12 District Literacy Coordinator for the School District of the Menomonie Area.
