Dr. Barnett serves as Associate Vice Chancellor of Curriculum Quality in Academics Affairs and as Associate Professor in the department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS).
Teaching Interests: Family gerontology, family policy, family resource management, family dynamics across the life course, and cultural competence.
Research Interests: Family gerontology, specifically kinship caregiving, elder caregiving, gendered issues with aging, intergenerational relationships, late-life family decision-making, and research methods and statistics.
