Conditions of Employment at UW-Stout

  • Consent for background check - A background check must be completed each time there is a lapse of employment of one year.
  • Complete the Human Resources Action Items checklist and deliver completed paperwork to Human Resources, 203 Administration Bldg. on or before your first day.
  • Direct Deposit - part of the "New Hire" packet
  • Activation and use of UW-Stout email - All correspondence is done through UW-Stout email.

Zero Dollar Contract

Because many of the ad hoc instructor contracts are based upon the number of registrants, a contract will be issued with the amount indicated as "zero" until registrations are finalized.

This "Zero Dollar Contract" allows an employment shell to be started for the instructor that will allow access to UW-Stout e-mail and Learn@ UW-Stout (D2L).

The instructor's social security number and date of birth are the minimum amount of information required to issue a contract.
