Extended bio of Chasidy Faith

Chasidy Faith, Ph.D., Associate Psychologist; Outreach and Prevention Coordinator

Chasidy joined the Counseling Center staff in August 2013. As an undergraduate she attended UW-Stevens Point, where she received her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. Chasidy earned her M.A. in Counseling from Marquette University, and completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Dakota. Throughout her education and training, she worked in several community mental health agencies. While in North Dakota, she was also an intensive in-home family therapist. The year prior to coming to UW-Stout, she completed her doctoral internship at Kansas State University Counseling Services where she received specialized training in Biofeedback.

As a therapist, Chasidy considers herself a generalist, with special interests in anxiety and depression, adjustment, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, attending to diversity, and providing group counseling. Her training and education prepared her to work with a wide range of individuals and presenting concerns. In addition to providing counseling, Chasidy enjoys working with counselor training and supervision and outreach programming. Chasidy has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Career and Life Planning, Dialogues on Diversity, and Counseling Methods.

In her free time, Chasidy enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog, taking pictures and scrapbooking, fishing, and attending sporting events.
