BE4U Program Prerequisites

The B.E.4U program is designed around your earned baccalaureate degree program in business administration, business finance, business management, marketing or your MBA degree. 

General Education Prerequisite Requirements

  • Four-year degree — business or related, from a regionally accredited institution
  • 2.75 or higher GPA
  • ETS Praxis I Pre Professional Skills Test passed  — reading, math, and writing test categories
    (see ETS   »  Educational Testing Service)
  • Criminal background check (a second check may be required prior to student teaching)
  • Completion of PI-34 general education (see general education requirements pdf)

Business Technical Content Prerequisite Requirements

The program also depends on knowledge and skills acquired and practiced by you as a business professional.  The National Business Education standards along with the upcoming Wisconsin Business Education Standards (see NBEA » National Business Education Association)

The following entrance requirements must be completed prior to starting the program:

  • Praxis II, Business Education: Content Knowledge #0101 passed (see ETS   »  Educational Testing Service)
  • Two or more years of paid work experience documented through resume (non-teaching, business related experience, after completion of four-year degree)
  • Completion of Wisconsin DPI PI-34 business content requirements (see technical content pdf)
  • Completion of BE4U application form
  • Consultation with your selected university program adviser
  • Application as Non-Candidate-for-Degree student at UW-Whitewater, or UW-Stout, or as an M.S. student at either university.
  • Completion of all university application processes and required forms
