2018 Undergraduate Transfer Student Scholarship
A limited number of undergraduate transfer* student scholarships will be awarded to transfer students that have a financial need based on their FAFSA or merit-based and also meet the following criteria:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree on campus (customized instruction students do not qualify)
  • Must have a declared major in one of our bachelor’s degrees (not undeclared)
  • Cumulative GPA from the last institution attended of 3.0 or higher
  • Transferring a minimum of 24 and no more than 90 credits
  • Accepted by June 1 with final transcripts due by June 8, 2018

The $30,000 of scholarship money will be distributed with $20,000 awarded based on need and $10,000 awarded based on merit.  The scholarships will be awarded at a minimum of $1000 and not to exceed $2500 to any one student. Students need only to complete and submit their FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. Students who receive the award will be notified by mail, e-mail and as part of their financial aid package in late June.  Half of the scholarship will be awarded fall semester and half spring semester.  Any scholarship money not distributed spring semester will be distributed using the same criteria for spring admitted students at half the normally awarded amount.

* a transfer student is defined as a student that has taken college courses beginning with the fall semester after they graduated from high school.

This scholarship is offered only to qualified students transferring directly from two-year colleges. June 8, 2018 deadline for application.

Stout Foundation Scholarships

The Stout University Foundation sponsors scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.  Applications are due the first Monday of February.
