What is one of your favorite quotes?
Eric Matthews once told his brother “Life’s tough…get a helmet!”

If you had to work on only one project for the next year,
what would it be?

Event planning! I love planning events — I could do it all day long. Imagine what I could do if I had a full year to plan one event! I would have elaborate center pieces, good food, fun activities and everyone would leave with a gift.

If you could recommend any book(s) that you’ve especially enjoyed,
what would it (they) be?

Well, I have read many books in the last year that I have loved! Top three right now:

  • Harry Potter; JK Rowling is brilliant! Seriously, these books will never stop amazing me.
  • The Hunger Games; these books are great. I worry about this actually happening in the future.
  •  Heaven is for Real; this is such a great and inspirational story. A must read whether or not you believe.

What is the most valuable lesson your parents taught you?
To be humble but still have self-confidence. My parents never let me get a big head. If I was getting too self-assured, my mom would say something to “knock me down a peg or two.”

What is the next planned event you’re looking forward to in your life?
My wedding!?! Ha, I am not engaged,  but I am looking forward to it.

What is a clothing staple that you rarely leave home without?
Well, if I am packing for a trip I never leave without a dress. I love dresses and think there is a dress for every occasion.

Which season is your favorite? Why?
Fall, I love the colors and the weather. I love the feeling of putting on socks and shoes after being barefoot all summer. I also love sweaters and comfy jeans.

What surprised you the most about college?
I would have to say academically I was surprised. I was a straight A student in high school, it always came easy to me. In college I got my first C and called home crying! I had to learn how to study. I became the flashcard queen in college! Seriously, I made flash cards for everything.

What types of pets do you have?
None, but I would really like to get a puppy!

What do you want to be doing in ten years?
I want to have a career in event planning or marketing, have a few kids and enjoying life to its fullest potential.
