Exploring Your New Home with Stout Adventures

First-Year Wilderness Experience
May 21, 2021

Join us this summer as we explore and adventure around Dunn County.

First-Year Wilderness Experience with Stout Adventures is a program designed specifically for first-year students. Held from Tuesday, Aug. 31 to Saturday, Sept. 4, FWE is a great way for your incoming student to meet other students before starting their first semester at UW-Stout.

This year, FWE is based on campus. Registrants will stay in the residence halls, participate in different activities and visit a new place every day. We will spend a day on the challenge course, go paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and biking.

Stout Adventures Free Week

Stout Adventures has other adventure opportunities this fall for all students.

Our Free Week is from Sunday, Sept. 5 to Sunday, Sept. 12. Your student can try our 30-foot climbing walls and bouldering wall. Climbing routes are designed for beginner to advanced climbers, so no experience is necessary.

And they can check out equipment for their next outdoor adventure or just stop by and visit!
