Overview of faculty and instructor websites

Your faculty/instructor web page (also referred to as 'faculty profile')

When you join the faculty at Stout, an email account is created for you. Your web page address will be http://www.uwstout.edu/faculty/your-email-username/. 

Your department will request that your web page be created in CommonSpot, our web content system. 

Once your profile has been created, the basic contact information on your page is loaded directly from the Human Resources database. If it is incorrect, send an email to hr@uwstout.edu with the correct information (it may take a day or two for the change to show up).

Your name is also added to the list of faculty and instructors.


UW-Stout uses CommonSpot software to publish web sites, and supports faculty who wish to use it to complete your web page and add pages to your site. UW-Stout's web staff is not able to provide training or support for web authors outside of CommonSpot.

For Academic Departments

Ten-minute presentation:

We will provide a ten-minute overview of the faculty web pages and available assistance at your department meeting. Use Outlook to schedule Barb Button, or send an email to 'webmaster.'

Department training sessions:

We will schedule a one-hour, hands-on training for your department upon request. Send an email to 'webmaster' with times that will work for you.
