Your faculty/instructor web page (also referred to as 'faculty profile')

When you join the faculty at Stout, an email account is created for you. Your web page address uses your email username, and will be http://www.uwstout.edu/faculty/your-email-username/.

Your department will request that your web page be created in CommonSpot, our web content system. You can also request this yourself, using this form:

Once your profile page has been created, the basic contact information on your page is loaded directly from the Human Resources database. If it is incorrect, send an email to hr@uwstout.eduwith the correct information (it may take a day or two for the change to show up).

Your name is also added to the list of faculty and instructors.

How to edit your faculty page

  • Edit the page yourself, using our step-by-step instructions [PDF]. See the help options in the right column.
  • See the CommonSpot Help page, linked in the left column, for tutorials and our Open Lab schedule (for walk-in assistance).

What is CommonSpot?

CommonSpot is our web content management software and the primary way we publish web sites. UW-Stout's web staff is not able to provide training or support for web authors who want to publish web content outside of CommonSpot.
