Yoga for Climbers
About the Program
Yoga for Climbers is a program offered through Stout Adventures, and is free with a membership to the climbing wall. The program’s purpose is to teach rock climbers the benefits of adding Yoga exercises into their mental and physical strength training routine.
Katie began her yoga and rock climbing career by taking classes offered through the university and has worked for the Health and Fitness Center teaching Yoga for past three years. She has had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States to practice yoga and climbing, allowing her to discover how important it is to integrate the two practices.
Students will have the opportunity to learn proper yoga poses that are appropriate to their skill level. Practicing yoga will not only create a more limber body but can clear one's mind while on a rock face.
When and Where
- Yoga for Climbers begins on January 22nd, and takes place on Tuesdays, from 7:00 to 7:30 PM.
