University Communications

The Office of University Communications is responsible for:
  • Internal communications: The office produces UW-Stout Today (daily e-mail), as well as other official communications to faculty, staff and students. It also administers the tobacco-free campus initiative. [Learn more.]

  • External communications: The office distributes news releases and tip sheets, arranges media interviews with faculty, staff and students, is responsible for official social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) produces the Take2 videos, arranges and moderates the About Stout videos, and produces content for the Outlook and e-Outlook alumni publications.   • External relations: University Communications is designated as the main contact with state and federal elected officials. The office also assists the Chancellor’s Office in maintaining relationships with the UW System Board of Regents. Finally, it assists the campus in maintaining relationships with business and civic organizations, disseminating information about the university and directing inquiries.
