Applications for WI Teaching Fellows and Scholars

Applications are now available for the 2008-09 Wisconsin Teaching Scholars Program and the Wisconsin Teaching Fellows Program.  You may download the application, and a description of the program by clicking on the links below.

 

UW-Stout may name one Fellow and one Scholar. The campus application deadline is November 1st via email to the Dan Riordan .

 

 

 

Wisconsin Teaching Scholars Program

 

The Wisconsin Teaching Scholars group will include tenured faculty and teaching academic staff with at least 10 years of college teaching.  Candidates must be exceptional teachers who already contribute their expertise and leadership publicly.  They should be familiar with Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research.  Each Scholar undertakes a significant SoTL project, records the project’s progress on an electronic poster tool, and disseminates the results in public forums.  Teaching Scholars will be expected to serve as leaders and mentors in UW System SoTL work.

Successful applicants attend a one-week summer institute and four meetings throughout the year; a stipend, and services and supplies dollars are part of the compensation. If you have questions, contact Dan Riordan.

Wisconsin Teaching Fellows Program

 

The Wisconsin Teaching Fellows group will include outstanding early-career, untenured faculty and teaching academic staff who show exceptional promise as college teachers.  They should be interested in SoTL research and in examining the issues faced by early-career faculty and teaching academic staff.  Each Fellow undertakes a significant SoTL project, records the project’s progress on an electronic poster tool, and disseminates the results in public forums. Fellows are expected to become leaders in campus and UW System SoTL work.
