Child and Family Study Center Vermicompost and Student Garden Projects

With the help of UW-Stout's Sustainable Design and Development capstone students, the Child and Family Study Center implemented a vermicomposting operation, allowing its 3-5 year olds to compost food and paper waste. The finished compost is then used in the CFSC's garden, which grows food for the center. Students from UW-Stout's Sustainable Agriculture in Education Association student organization help the young students plant and tend to the garden.
