Background
University Centers includes the Memorial Student Center and Merle M. Price
Commons, which are 22 and 40 years old respectively. Since these facilities
have been built, our student’s needs and expectations have changed…a
lot! It became quite evident that something needed to be done when traffic
began to decline.
A project-planning firm, Brailsford and Dunlavey, was hired to conduct a market study of the Stout community. The data will provide direction for the future regarding services, programs, and facility improvements of the Memorial Student Center and the Merle M. Price Commons. This is an exciting time as we develop a vision for the future that meets and hopefully exceeds students’ needs.
