Welcome to Wigen Hall!

Wigen has four floors of 119 rooms total. There is an additional single room on each floor. Floors are co-ed by wing, and the men/women's wings are separated by the bathrooms.

    Floor Plans

Floor Three is an alcohol-free floor. This rule also applies to residents of legal age.

Floor Four is the honors floor, but you don't have to be in any honors classes to live there.

All rooms have the same layout. Desks and shelves cannot be moved, but beds and dressers can be moved as long as there is no obstruction between the window and the door (fire hazard).

Wigen Services

The laundry room is located in the basement, along with the vending machines and recycling.

The computer lab has Mac and Windows computers for student use, along with a printer.

Each floor has a lounge area that can be used for socializing, studying, and meetings.

Lofts

There are several options for lofting a mattress. This first photo shows the metal lofts that can be rented from Stout. You can choose how close you want the mattress to the ceiling, and there is plenty of room below the loft for a couch, futon, unlofted bed, tv, etc. Provided with the frame is a bed rail and a corner tray.

Another option is to build your own loft. Pressure lofts (supported by walls or ceiling) are NOT ALLOWED. In this case, the two mattresses/ bed frames are connected to an overhead beam by chain. Stout will not provide assistance with building a loft, and you are responsible for setting it up and taking it down.

Here's an example of a single built loft on the left side. On the right is a Stout rented loft.

Anything else you're wondering about? We would be glad to answer any questions you may have.
