Scholarship: The Educational Foundation, supported by collegiate and alumni members, annually presents 25 scholarships and 9 awards to undergraduates, 10 graduate fellowships, and 2 advisor awards.
Leadership: Local collegiate and alumni chapters provide opportunities for leadership development and policy formation, as do the Conclave and district workshops.
Service: Each chapter plans and implements a local service project. The outstanding projects are recognized at Conclave.
Eligibility: Membership in Phi Upsilon Omicron is open to undergraduate students who have completed 40 semester hours, 60 quarter hours, or the equivalent, with a major in family and consumer sciences or one of its specialized areas.
Major Activities: Phi U members participate in a variety of activities including Conclave, initiation ceremonies, Founders Day celebrations, and Alumni gatherings. Members also have the distinction of wearing honor cords at graduation.
