University of Wisconsin - Stout

Past Due Tuition

As outlined in Payment Options, as long as a student is in good standing with the University, all fees and tuition are due approximately 60 days after the term begins for Spring and Fall terms, and on the first Friday of the first day of class for Winterm and Summer terms. If the student is going to have a problem making payments on time, they need to contact the Collections Office as soon as possible to set up a payment arrangement. The number for the Collections Office is 715-232-1657 to set up the payment arrangement. Remember that tuition for a current semester has to be paid in full before the student can register for a future semester.

Collection Costs and Fees

If a student does not pay his/her bill and the account goes to a collection agency, the student will be responsible for accruing finance charges and collection costs. The student will also become ineligible to be on a payment plan for future terms and their tuition must be PAID IN FULL by the 5th day of classes for the Fall and Spring semesters. The student will be required to fill out a credit denied form before registering to make sure they understand the conditions of registering for classes. If the account is not paid in full by the 5th day of class, the University has the option of cancelling the student's registration.
