“Blue Devil Open”

 Friday, February 18th, 2005, 4pm

 

Teams Expected:  UW-Eau Claire (M&W), UW-River Falls (M&W), UW-Superior (M&W),

North Central Univ. (M&W), UW-Stout (M&W), and ?

 

Entries:            Unlimited entries.  We are NOT limiting the number of entries per event in this meet.

                        Entries are due:  Tuesday, February 15th by 9pm.  We will be using an on line

                        entry system, with details emailed to you the week before the meet.  If you do have

                        an athlete in question please enter them.  We will allow scratches, but

                        NO ADDITIONS THE DAY OF THE MEET.

 

Entry Times:            We are asking everyone to be honest with entry times. 

We want the correct heats to be placed together to be fair to all participants.

 

Heat Sheets:   We will attempt to get heet sheets posted on the Stout Track Homepage by Thursday @2:00pm.    www.uwstout.edu/athletics/    Please check the heet sheets for any mistakes.  We will make corrections anytime before or up through Thursday night, but not on the day of the meet.  Final heet sheets will be posted Friday morning as soon as possible so you can have them before you leave your school.  Final results

                        should be posted on the web within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the meet.

 

Track:             A brand new Benyon Sports BS1000 Encapsulated track was poured in October. 

¼” spikes may be worn for all events (track AND field).

                        We have 6 lanes all the way around (200m), and 8 sprint/hurdle lanes on the straight.

 

Timing:            Finish Lynx fully automatic timing system will be used.  Ties will be broken to

the 1000th of a second if necessary.  We will also attempt to have a USATF Certified             Official running every event if possible.

 

Long Jump,     We will be giving all competitors 3 initial attempts in the LJ, TJ, Shot, & Wt. Throw.

Triple Jump,   The top 9 marks will advance to the finals for 3 more attempts.

Pole Vault       Opening heights are determined by working backwards from 2005 NCAA

& High Jump: Division III Automatic Indoor qualifying marks at higher heights.

Estimate in Men’s vault is approximately 3.83 M (12’ 6.75”) raised by 15 cm.

                        Estimate in Men’s high jump is approximately 1.65 M (5’ 5”) raised by 5 cm.

                        Estimate in Women’s vault is approximately 2.51 M (8’ 2.75”) raised by 15cm.

                        Estimate in Women’s high jump is approximately 1.31 M (4’ 3.5”) raised by 5 cm.

 

Entry Fee:            $75.00 per team.  $150.00 for both men and women.
