Nelson wins second title, Stout third as team

CLAREMONT, Calif (May 26, 2012) - Tim Nelson (Sr, Augusta) won his second national title of the weekend and UW-Stout finished a best-ever third place at the NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College.

Nelson, who won the 10,000-meter national title on Thursday, captured the 5000-meter run in a time of 14-minutes, 15.31-seconds. Nelson finished five seconds ahead of second place finisher Jordan Schilit of Haverford College, who finished at 14:20.45.
