5 Reasons to Consider a Teaching Degree at UW-Stout

1. Get Involved Right Away

At UW-Stout, our focus is to get you ready for your education right away.  As a first year student, you will take an Intro class in your education major.  In these classes, you learn about what it takes to be a teacher, what you will be doing for the next 4-5 years in college, as well as what steps are necessary to become a licensed teacher.

Our students begin getting valuable experience in the classroom with young children early and often!

2. Job Placement

UW-Stout teacher education graduates are getting jobs!  According to our survey respondents, 100% of our graduating seniors (graduating class of 2011) have reported that they have gotten jobs or continued their education within 6 months after graduation.

This speaks volumes about the quality of our programs and our graduates, and it says a lot about our dedication to providing our students with real-world experiences before they graduate.

3. Wide Variety of Experiences

As a teacher education student, you can study in diverse places across the state, across the nation, and even across the world!  We've had students studying as far as Scotland, Ireland, and Australia. Learn more by visiting our Admissions website!
