Designed to strengthen personal leadership skills while providing tools to help educators, special educators, principals and counselors share leadership skills with students. Identify your leadership strengths and learn innovative strategies to further engage students in the classroom using team based learning and group decision making. Learn how to manage conflict and get results as a leader. Discuss your role as a catalyst leader inspiring others to act; create your personal leadership development plan and discuss methods for similar types of plans in the classroom.

During this course participants will:
- Review strategies for facilitating teams efficiently, managing conflict and utilizing team decision making and problem solving
- Apply evidence-based research when analyzing instructional leadership conflict scenarios and integration of appropriate team problem solving activities
- Design an individual action plan applying instructional leadership best practices in a building/district environment
Because this class is asynchronous and open to you 24/7, you may participate from your home or work computer during hours that are best for your work and family schedule. Advanced computer or programming skills are not required. Learners need a basic understanding of Internet browsing, email, and word processing.
The class is highly interactive with a significant discussion component. Instructor/peer comments will be available through discussion groups or sent by e-mail.
