Alicia Mundt is an adjunct instructor in the School of Education at University of Wisconsin-Stout. She teaches Instructional Applications of Digital Photography.

Her career began in South Carolina teaching social studies to middle school students. As a social studies educator, she integrated technology and developed the social studies curriculum in a hybrid format. In 2000, she authored a 7th grade district-wide geography curriculum pacing guide that was recognized by the South Carolina Department of Education. She also facilitated an online cooperative learning project with Armenian and U.S. students called the Armenian Connectivity Project; this project was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and Project Harmony. In her next position, she served as middle school Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) and created professional development seminars highlighting instructional applications of educational technologies.

Alicia graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University and earned a Master of Arts in Education Technology. This program gave her extensive experience learning and teaching online.

She currently works for University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Division of Information Technology. She works with the state research and education network as the Education Workgroup Facilitator and Educational Technology Specialist and collaborates with statewide policy decision-makers regarding K-12 educational technology services in Wisconsin.

She is a native of Virginia Beach and a "military brat" growing up around aircraft carriers, jets, and military protocol.  Alicia lives in Madison with her husband and their two cats. In her spare time, Alicia enjoys playing with her two nephews, watching sports and taking trips with her husband.

She also enjoys being in the classroom whether it’s virtual or not.
