What Our Students Are Saying
"As an experienced classroom teacher I found that taking online professional development courses was the most effective way to meet my needs. I became such an advocate that my goal was to become an online facilitator delivering professional development to working teachers. Because of the strong foundation I received in the certificate program for E-Learning and Online Teaching from UW-Stout , I developed the skills to create an online community of learners. The culminating practicum allowed me to put theory into practice under the guidance of a supportive, experienced mentor. Today I am working as an online facilitator, with the opportunity to live my professional dream, all thanks to the excellent education I received through UW-Stout." ~ Patricia Hutton "This is a 'MUST HAVE' course for any teacher or trainer that is interested in learning how to teach online. As a seasoned online learner, this is by far the best online course I have taken. Dennis has a strong virtual presence and has made the course very interactive and relevant to my personal learning, as well as providing high quality, research based content and facilitating thought provoking discussions among the participants. I was always 'in the know' of how I was doing throughout the course due his timely and supportive feedback. For me, this course has set a new standard in online learning!" ~ Jen Hegna,
Information Systems Manager "I've really enjoyed the practicum, and in fact, all of the courses in the
program. One of the things that has really struck me is the sense of ~ Loren Rochester, Special Projects Manager "... As an online teacher, experiencing an online course from the vantage point of a student offered me invaluable insight in course content, design, and establishing a community of learners. To foster successful online teaching, classroom management and teacher communication skills are paramount. Thank you for providing an exemplary model. I could not have wished for a more positive and enriching experience. Truly, your attention to students promotes student success." ~ Dianne Scott, English Department Chair
