"When I took the class, my primary goal was to finally learn a web
page software application the right way and not fly by the seat of my
pants as I did with GoLive and all the others before it. I wanted to
learn Dreamweaver because I felt it had become the industry standard and was getting rave reviews.

This Intermediate Web Design class met all of my expectations.
It was designed in a very deliberate way that allowed me to build my skills in a logical manner. Each assignment led the way to the next skill. I found myself unafraid to utilize or explore all of Dreamweaver's potential. I actually deleted GoLive from my hard drive!"

"I had two main goals for the course, first to make a website for my Biology Two kids. Second was to become proficient with a web design program. Through the course I have accomplished and surpassed my expectations for both goals.

Having a website does something wonderful to a classroom. It makes the walls transparent. I am available to my students outside of school with the click of a mouse. My instruction does not stop when the bell rings. I am more of a guide than I have ever been. Even my student teacher from last year will use the page to help his transition into teaching in his new school. My enthusiasm for class has been recharged and that is certainly contagious. I look forward to all of the things that having a powerful website can open up for my students.

I am proud to say that I am a now a better teacher."

"This was the first online course I've taken, and I got more out of this than many of the traditional courses I have taken in the past.  I've talked about it to colleagues and encouraged them to take it.   I prefer Dreamweaver over FrontPage, and the techniques I've
learned will make my job easier to update the LMC pages."

"I accomplished exactly what I set out to do when I joined this class… create a site for my Information Center that would be useful to students, parents, and staff. I look forward to adding to it with more content, images, some slide shows, and videos.

My next step will be advertising it so that my audience knows it's there. My plan for that is to e-mail the link to my staff, ask the school's Intranet webmaster to feature my site on the school's Intranet home page, get on the agenda of the next faculty meeting to show highlights of the site, send the link to my Japan district and Pacific Region Information Center leaders and advertise it in our school's Knightly News newsletter.

I have taken several online classes; this class was superior. The organization was phenomenal and everything was step-by-step. Your feedback was positive, and you set an excellent tone of support for your students. I have recommended your class to several of my colleagues."

"I like the freedom of taking an online class so that I can work at my own pace at the times most convenient to me. My primary goal for taking this online class was to learn the finer points of Dreamweaver software.

Through this course I have learned much of the more sophisticated abilities of this cool software. I can now successfully create a web page with a navigation bar, a frameset and a noframes setting, sorted table and use CSS to maintain design elements throughout the website. I truly believe that Dreamweaver is a perfect tool for a school district webmaster. The easy use of CSS alone makes it invaluable. But also, the ease of posting to a server, the use of library items and templates make this software perfectly suited to a school website application."

"The instructor's written instructions were very clear, and the examples make the concepts easy to follow. I haven't had the frustrations with vague instructions that I've had in other classes."

"I am very happy I took this course! I understand templates, CSS sheets, anchors, layouts, etc. And what a prize Fireworks has turned out to be! I love using it, and I know I wouldn't have tried it without taking this class. I have taken online classes before and while thankful that I didn't have to drive to a neighboring university, I didn't feel like I got much out of it. With this class I feel like I've accomplished tons and have printed out all of the tutorials in case I get stuck later on in the year."

"I was very pleased with the designer guidelines for this class, especially regarding fonts, page layout, keeping it easy to navigate. I have fought those battles with newsletters and homeroom websites, and I will use you directions as further ammunition to deal with the clip art addicts."

The lesson structure was very good because we practiced as soon as the process was explained. Also, the quick response from the instructor helped me move along to new material with more confidence. The fact that the instructor applied the guiding principles so clearly in his examples helped.

I think the main thing for me was recognizing that Dreamweaver makes it possible for anyone to make a decent website. A good site doesn't need a lot bells and whistles, just clear and logical content and layout. The Design Handbook for this class is very useful."
