A video game created by a team of UW-Stout students has been selected for a national competition at the annual Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco.

“This is a major accomplishment for these students. No game from UW-Stout has been featured at GDC before,” said Associate Professor Dave Beck, director of UW-Stout’s School of Art and Design and the game’s executive producer.

The game, Everend, was created in 2016 by 12 students in Beck’s senior game design class. Along with UW-Stout, 10 other games were chosen for the Intel University Games Showcase Night, part of the GDC conference.

UW-Stout offers two undergraduate programs, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Game Design and Development program with a focus on art and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Game Design and Development.
