Move Out Procedures

Residence Hall Move-Out Loading Procedures

Move-out parking for loading is different than the system used for move-in into University Housing.

Students cannot drive or park on sidewalks or campus grounds as you did during move-in. Move-out loading must be from a legal parking space unless a loading permit is displayed. If you need to park closer to your hall than a parking lot, pick up a short term loading permit from Parking Services.

Suggested move-out loading areas are listed below:

  • North Hall: City street meter (paid), Stout meter in Lot 14 across the street (paid), Broadway Service area (only with loading permit), or Lot 14 permit space (with loading permit)
  • AF: City street meter (paid), Stout meter in Lot 14 (paid), Stout permit lot (with loading permit)
  • CKTO: City Street meter (paid), CKTO service drive (with loading permit), Stout permit lot (with loading permit)
  • HKMC: City Street meter (paid), HKMC service drive (with loading permit), Stout permit lot (with loading permit)
  • South Hall: South Hall short term meter (paid), Price Commons service area (with loading permit), Lot 4 (with regular or loading permit)
  • Wigen: Service area behind building (with loading permit), Stout permit lot (with loading permit)
  • Hovlid: City street, Stout lot (with regular or loading permit), or other (with loading permit)
  • Fleming: City street, Stout lot (with regular or loading permit), or other (with loading permit)
  • Red Cedar: Anywhere in Lot 9, 11 or Lot 32 (with permit or loading permit), in entrance-area loading zone (with loading permit) or in a legal parking space on a Menomonie city street.

Move-Off Loading Areas:

If you need to park in either a closer area, a non parking area, or for an extended time, a short-term move-out loading permit will get you closer to your residence hall. We ask that you use these spaces for the shortest time possible to make them available for your fellow students. The short duration of this permit will require that you have everything ready to load up before you park in the loading space.

Move-out loading permits:

  • Do not authorize parking on sidewalks or campus grounds
  • Do authorize short-term parking in paved areas near residence halls.
