How To Park Legally - Commuter

If you've forgotten your commuter permit

Parking in a commuter lot during hours of regulation requires display of your permit.  If you've arrived on campus without your permit, you should stop by the Parking Office before parking to pick up a courtesy one day replacement permit.

Picking up the replacement permit will require only about a minute of your time, so you will not be delayed in reaching your class/office on time.

If you cannot stop by the Parking Office before parking you cannot legally park in a permit lot.  We suggest that you park at a paid meter until such time as you can come over to the Parking Office and pick up your short-term permit.

If you accidentally park without your permit and receive a citation, please bring that to our attention filing an appeal of that citation.  Each permit holder is offered a once-per-year fine waiver for non-display of your permit.  Any non-display fines after the waiver will be reduced so please appeal those too.
